[vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][vc_column_text]We had so much fun shooting Mike and Erica’s wedding! Their day was filled with a few firsts for us. One of those firsts that stands out most in this video is that Erica decided to do a first look with her bridesmaids. Wedding days tend to follow similar schedules and routines and it can be easy to take certain elements for granted. Usually the bridesmaids are all gathered ’round while the bride is getting ready. Props to Erica for thinking outside the box because she actually created two special moments; the first one being the few minutes she was able to spend with just her mother as she helped Erica get ready.
Another first for us was the location. The ceremony and reception were both held at a the Brockington Hall wedding venue in downtown Savannah, GA. This big, historic house gave the whole day such a unique feeling. The set up especially worked well for the reception. The smaller rooms of the house, as opposed to one big event space/ball room, really created intimacy and made it feel like the party flowed from one room into another.
