When we shoot weddings, we're always trying to balance getting the shots we need (ie some beauty time with the couple) with making sure the bride and groom are not spending their entire day posing instead of hanging out with their friends and family. We love getting gorgeous footage. We've made a career out of it. So naturally when we see opportunities (“Wow, look at that sunset!” “Wow, look at this cool fire pit!” “Wow, look at that cool . . .” etc) we ask our couples if we can borrow them for a few minutes to get some shots. Now, keep in mind we only work with the best couples in the world so they are usually game for whatever we ask. Jared and Gillian were no different, however, they also kicked their awesomeness up a notch. They were always excited and willing to come along and do whatever we asked, but not just for our sakes. When the two of them are together, they are simply enjoying each other’s company. Standing on the beach while we got beauty shots of them wasn’t a “wedding day responsibility” they were simply getting to hang out with their best friend on a picture-perfect evening in front of God’s beautiful creation. From our perspective, it just doesn’t get much better than that.
