Wedding days are non-stop parties. And non-stop parties can be pretty tiring. Don't get me wrong; it's a good thing if everyone leaves exhausted at the end of the night. I can't think of a better way to completely spend your energy than by celebrating two people couple coming together to form a new family. But at the same time we realize our brides and grooms are human and may need a break from being "on" every once in a while. It can be hard work smiling so much for so long. That being said, every once in a while we run across an outlier couple. These couples are something special. It's not that they're holding any energy back when it comes to being fully in the moment and enjoying their wedding day. But there are just some people to whom God gave such a pleasant countenance that their smile seems completely effortless and natural at any point in the day. That was the case with Sarah and Jonathan. We're talking the Lebron James of cheek muscles. These guys really made our job easy because they were always smiling. From the moment Jonathan sees his bride, there is an energy that the two of them give to each other that is absolutely contagious. You can't help but smile along as they laugh together from taking pictures to dancing the night away.
You can tell Jonathan and Sarah's officiant was a good friend of theirs because of the care with which he wrote the ceremony. We knew his emergent properties analogy would give depth to the opening of their video. The cool thing is that same principle he talks about is so easily seen in the editing process. Most of editing is taking two unrelated shots and putting them together to create a new meaning out of their juxtaposition. To Jonathan and Sarah, we couldn't agree more that there is something special that emerges when the two of you come together. We hope you enjoy reliving your wedding day for many years to come!
