These days, every betrothed couple chooses whether or not they are going to do a first look on their wedding day. There is no right or wrong answer. In fact, in the past year our couples have been exactly 50/50. We support either decision our clients make because whatever they choose will add to their wedding day in a special way.  However, when couples ask our opinion, we are always in favor of a first look, and I want to take a minute to explain why.

Aerial videography for weddings you may ask? Yes, absolutely yes.

Earlier this year, after seeing some of the amazing shots achievable with the new surge of "drones" or quadcopters, Tim and I decided to splurge a little to get something truly unique in our field. For the last 6 months or so, if we've filmed your wedding, chances are we've brought out our very own customized and finely tuned quadcopter. Savannah has no shortage of scenery that looks great from above and we've also had the opportunity to fly around in Kansas and Arkansas as well. Check out this video compilation with some of the best shots we've gotten this year.

So you’re planning your wedding day. Maybe the schedule looks something like this: girls prep starts at 9:00 am – finishes by 2:00 pm, guys prep starts at 1:30 pm – also finishes by 2:00 pm (You’re right. It’s not fair, but what are you gonna do?), first look at 2:30, bridal party pictures until 4:00, ceremony at 4:30, afterward you take family pictures while your guests head to cocktail hour, the newlyweds are announced at 6:00 then you dance till your 10:30 exit (And your guests better not be too far behind! By golly you’re getting that deposit back!!).
